IMPORTANT: After installing SmarterMail, the mailbox data for all users on the server will be indexed. This process may take several minutes and it is important that you do not restart the service during this process. In addition, you may notice that SmarterMail is temporarily using more resources than usual. After the initial scan is completed, server utilization should return to near normal levels.
IMPORTANT: Upon installation of SmarterMail 7.x, users' mailbox data will be reorganized and saved in a new file structure. As a result, SmarterMail 7.x cannot be downgraded to previous versions of SmarterMail.
