Installed Licenses
SmarterTrack has a flexible licensing model that allows organizations to purchase
a level and edition that best fits their usage requirements now, and to upgrade
as more features or agents are required. In addition, each new product purchase
includes two email support incidents that are valid for 12 months from the date
of purchase. New purchases also include access to major and minor product updates
for 12 months at no additional charge.

License Modifications and Upgrades
SmarterTools customers are provided 12 months of upgrade protection coverage with
the purchase of any new product license. Upgrade protection includes access to all
major and minor version upgrades for 12 months from the date of purchase at no additional
charge. Customers can upgrade the level or edition of a SmarterMail, SmarterTrack,
or SmarterStats license at any time. However, license modifications will not extend
upgrade protection coverage or reinstate expired coverage. For more information,

Frequently Asked Questions
Monthly Storage and Transfer Limits
The storage and transfer allowance for Hosted SmarterTrack is based on the agent
level. Customers that exceed their monthly storage and/or transfer allowance will
automatically move to the next agent level and will be billed appropriately. For

SmarterTrack Enterprise with Failover Functionality
A hardware failure or other interruption in service can significantly impact a business
that uses its help desk as a mission-critical part of its operations. For those
companies, SmarterTrack Enterprise with Failover Functionality will decrease the
likelihood of service interruptions and virtually eliminate downtime.
By allowing for the installation of a second server that is always connected to
the database in standby mode, failover functionality ensures your help desk remains

SmarterTrack Enterprise with Load Balancing Functionality
SmarterTrack Enterprise with Load Balancing Functionality allows organizations to
improve the performance and scalability of the system by creating a distributed
cluster of servers. Rather than send every request to a single server, SmarterTrack
can be configured to work behind a load balancer to distribute incoming HTTP requests
evenly across multiple servers and improve the frequency at which data is cached.
When used in conjunction with failover functionality, this is an ideal option for
organizations that want to deploy SmarterTrack in a high-volume environment or ensure
maximum uptime.
