In order to move SmarterTicket to a different server do the following:
- Log into the Manage Account – My Licenses section of the smartertools.com website to verify that your license has an activation available. Send any question about it to sales@smartertools.com. Note: This applies only if the server hostname or database connection information has changed.
- The following configuration and data files should be backed up:
- ..\SmarterTicket\Config\SystemSettings.xml
- ..\SmarterTicket\Attachments
- And the database
- Install SmarterTicket
- Download SmarterTicket from http://www.smartertools.com/Products/SmarterTicket/DL/V2.aspx.
- Run the installer
- Restore data and configuration settings
- Restore the file ..\SmarterTicket\Config\SystemSettings.xml
- Restore the folder ..\SmarterTicket\Attachments
- Restore the database
