To reset the primary administrator password in SmarterTicket 2.x, follow the instructions below. Note, the procedure requires access to the file system where SmarterTicket is installed.
- Browse to the file ..\SmarterTicket\Config\SystemSettings.xml using Windows Explorer.
- Make a backup copy of that file
- Right-click on SystemSettings.xml and choose Open With -> Notepad
- Find the section that looks like this:
<AdminPasswordEnc>....</AdminPasswordEnc>
- Delete this line and save the file
- Upload the file back to the server in the same location
You should now be able to log in to SmarterTicket by using the following:
Username: admin
Password: admin
