To reset the primary administrator login and password in SmarterStats 2.x, follow the instructions below:

1. Open Windows Explorer (My Computer)
2. Go to C:\Program Files\SmarterTools\SmarterStats (or wherever you installed SmarterStats)
3. Open the MRS subdirectory
4. Open the Config subdirectory
5. Make a backup copy of the file AppConfig.xml
6. Right-click on AppConfig.xml and choose Open With -> Notepad
7. Find the three lines that look like this:

8. Delete those three lines and save the file

You should now be able to log in to SmarterStats by using the following:

Site ID: admin
Username: admin
Password: admin
