I do have a problem seeing the difference between gateway and smarthost servers. Which oneis the incoming, and which one is the outgoing SMTP server? I've successfully implimented a smarthost as a secondary / mx backup server. This morning I woke to my monitoring informing me that mail was not spooling to our primary mail server and that mail was accumilating on mx backup server. Using SM4 Can I lock down the relay by specific only allow the sender? How greylisting works? Can I modify greylisting to achieving Question...

OK, so SmaterMail 4 is out now. Any chance that the SmartHost code was changed so that it actually used the DNS servers specified in the general settings? I'm guessing not since I ran a test and it doesn't seem to be working. Jacob
