On the surface this could appear simply to be a DNS related issue but DNS is OK and yet our clients simply can not reliably deliver - the session simply times out - at MailWise - specifically at the load balancers that sit in front of the mail servers. My own mail traffic with one of the recipients ...

Greetings, I am attempted to administer the email accounts for our Customer / Domains, and I am having some error messages display. I am using SmarterMail 4.3, administering through Helm 4. These apps are running on IIS 5 / Windows 2003. 1) When I go to Domain Name -> Email Accounts(POP3) in Helm...

Hi all, I've got one user from one domain whom is experiencing a new trend of rejected emails. There are really three types: 1. No MX record - I think this is a problem with the DNS. The rejection notification will say something like: Failed recipient recipientname@domainname.com Reason: Failed four...

Hi Guys, I feel this is a bug that needs some attention, I see emails sitting in my spool queues waiting for delivery, they have been in the queues (pre SM4.1) for 4 hrs and retrys sitting at 4 and (Post SM4.1 I was hoping it would have been resolved by this release) 8 retrys. If I do external tests...

My customers are not able to use the POP service of SmarterMail 4. I've tried setting up accounts and have noticed the same problem - Outlook Express hangs stating that it's not receiving a response, Outlook 2000 takes forever to get to 100% then throws out an error (I forget exactly what the error was...

I'm experiencing the exact same problem as described in http://forums.smartertools.com/forums/thread/25620.aspx but as there are no replies there (Beta forum), I'll try here. Install/upgrade went ok, I changed my IIS6 website to ASP.NET 2.0, there are no TCP/IP filters, no firewall is active. I can open...

I encountered the following problem and decided to post my work-around solution here in case anyone else needs it. (The redundant spellings in the subject should help people find the message using different search keywords.) BACKGROUND: I previously used a catch-all alias with extensive content filtering...

I'm in a shared hosting environment. Smarter Mail 2.6 is installed. I have 2 domain content filters set up. 1. uses the from address and from domain options to create a whitelist of eligable senders to my domain 2. the uses the from domain options with wildcards turned on and just a '*' in the domains...

The mail host is using SmarterMail Professional Edition 3.2.2327, not sure if that means anything in our scenario or not. I just tested the theory out by adding mailreplies@samsclub.com to the trusted sender list and changed the action to not do anything. I then forwarded an email from yesterday that...
