    "Disaster" is putting it mildly. I spent about 6 hours today trying to fix the mess IE8 left. Was unable to get it uninstalled. I ran the uninstaller from add/remove on a windows XP configuration and after a reboot IE8 still showed it's ugly head. Although no longer in the programs list...
