I'm attempting to use the Google apps IMAP email migration tool to transfer my existing mail to an alternate account. I have run the tool twice now, and receive connection errors with the smartermail server consistently. It seems that a portion of emails from each directory is transfered without issue, while the majority are skipped. Only about 16% of messages transfer.
The explicitly supported mail servers are: Courier, Cyrus, Dovecot, Exchange 2003
Unsupported are: Exchange 2007, Lotus Domino, UW, Other.
I have run the tool with both 'Dovecot' and 'Other' selected with no luck. Is there a particular server which Smartermail emulates and would be most compatible with?
It's curious to me that the tool is having issues despite being based on the IMAP standard.
