Sync from iPhone to Smarter Webmail is easy. Just download the Funambol client from the Apple store for free here:

http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=284457844&mt=8

Install it, enter the config, meaning the URL like

webmail.yourdomain.de/sync/Default.aspx 

and your emailaddress as well as your password, then sync and you have all your contacts from the iphone in your webmail account.
