    Calendar Sharing in Enterprise Edition

It would be nice to have the ability to share your calendar with users from a different domain in SmarterMail.  I have several users who all work for the same company but are under different domains.  User1 from domain1.com cannot share a calendar with User2 from domain2.com.  Really annoying.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

Are you sure you can't Ryan?  That was the main reason I was going to buy v3, sharing the calendars.  But if everyone has to be under the same domain it's not useful to me.  If it's infact impossible to do right now then I'm sure it's just a security thing and they'll have it soon.  I'll wait until then to buy.

When I tried to share my calendar with another account on domain2.com, I click "save" and nothing happens.  When I go back into "shared resources" nothing is there.  I can, however share a calendar from user1@domain2.com with user2@domain2.com

This is correct. You can not currently share resources with users on different domains. This may change in the future, but right now, it is a limitation.

Then you guys might want to mention that in the promo materials for Enterprise edition.  Actually, you might want to go into a little more depth about all the "features" the enterprise edition has and actually how they work.

    Just a thought...

Actually, if you add domain sharing, please make sure to allow me to disable it per domain as the admin of the server for security reasons. Then it would be rather useful feature. Also, a group calendar would be very helpful for vacations, schedules, etc, and a way to make an item in a folder "sticky" so it has to be unstuck by someone with full control before it can be deleted to prevent accidental deletions of important info when cleaning up.

So has this "limitation" been fixed in the new version of SmarterMail?  I keep running into instances where it would be most helpful to be able to share calendars across domains on the same server.

Sharing in the current version of SmarterMail 5 still only works within the same domain. As James has said though, this could be a feature for a future release.

...he said that two years ago.  Could you please, actually, think about doing this?

We will put this on our current feature request list and discuss it at our development meeting.

    Thanks.

It would be very nice to have possibility to share things between domains.
