Problem with RETR command in POP 3 Server (SM 5.5)

    Hi,

My customer, when download a message using the Outlook or other MAIL client the connection it's dropped after 5 minutes seconds due POP timeout.

So, when I use the command TOP MSG 20 the 20 lines are displayed correctly, but when use RETR MSGNUMBER the message has downloaded partialy.

I think that is a problem with message because using the webmail (that don't use the POP/IMAP protocol) the problem don't ocurrs.

Where I can send the message with the problem to SM verify the problem.

    Regards

    Cleber

I'd move the message to another folder in webmail, then attempt to POP your messages.

If it still times out, then its not a problem with that particular message.

If move the message to another folder, it's works and the POP connection it's OK.

    Hi,
No problem. I'm using the forum to get the support because when I buy the SM 5.5 I was just 2 ticket to use and 1 I'have used with SM 5.5 and the other, openened using E-MAIL about the problem with SmarterTicket the SmarterTool has solved this using our ticket for SmarterMail.

When I talk with SmarterTools, the sales team has send for me a proposal to buy more support, but I'd like to use the another ticket avaliable for SM 5.5 that as been used from SmarterTools to support a free version of SmarterTicket.

So, I guess too the forum it's a great tool for SmarterTools to get the information about the problem in your applications.

    Thaks.
