    bounced message interpretation

    Hi,

I see in the delivery log file today the following:

10:41:43 [16347] Delivery for df@vporthodontics.com to ben@webworldinc.com has completed (Bounced)
10:41:43 [16347] Delivery for df@vporthodontics.com to bcconner@gmail.com has completed (Bounced)

There doesn't appear to be any other supporting information in the delivery log file.  I also run the server for webworldinc.com, and there has been no contact by the smartermail server's IP address to drop off mail.  This concerns me.

Can someone explain what is happening here?

    Thanks...

    Re: bounced message interpretation

The bounce information should be in the inbox from which it was sent.

You can also trace up the log for [16347] as that seems to be the transaction.

Also, is this you sending this email from one of your email servers to another?

Last thing, did you only check the delivery logs or other logs such as SMTP logs and etc?

If you could post the whole transaction for message [16347] that would help in identifying your problem. I am guessing that your outgoing port 25 may be blocked by ISP or hosting provider.
