    Disable domain

    Hi everybody,

I have been looking for a way to disable a domain.

My problem is  that I am moving my domains to a new smartermail server one by one. This is a new localtion and this is not that difficult.

But I haven't removed the old domains from the old server, and would like to wait with doing that.

The problem is that I have moved domainA to the new server but not domainB, and then domainB tries to send a mail to domainA, and this is sent to the old server of course because the old domainA still exists on my old smartermail server.

So I would like to disable domainA so domainB does not see it as a local domain.

    How do I do that?

    Thanks,
    JP

Do you need the already transfered domains to be active on the old server? If not, stop the mailservice, open domainList.xml and simply remove their listings. This will prevent SmarterMail from knowing about them without deleting any of the data.

That's exactly what I needed! Thanks!

Removed it from domainList.xml and it works the way it should!
