User missing attachment

    User missing attachment

    SmarterMail 4.3 using web interface

    A user was sent an attachment (.WRI) from their customer. Here is the attachment part:

    Content-Type: application/octet-stream;
    name="wisemail_xxxxxxxx.wri"
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
    Content-Disposition: attachment;
    filename="wisemail_xxxxxxxx.wri"

    =0A=
     

    In the messages pane he could see the paper clip but when he selects the message he does not get the link under the subject line to open the attachment. If he forwards the message to me at an account on his domain I can see and open the attachment. If I log in as admin and impersonate his account, on the same machine with the same browser, I see the paper clip but not the link. All other attachments in his in-box work normally.

     What am I missing? I hope someone has an idea.

    Having the same issue on v5.5.3362. Emails come through with attachment paperclip and larger size, no attachment in email on webmail when opened. If I setup a pop account it downloads and works as it should. If the email is sent with a non embedded attachment it comes through normally. Seems to be just an issue with embedded attachments. This is a major issue for us because a majority of ours are system generated emails with embedded attachments.

     I opened a case with an example and they were able to duplicate it in their test environment. It has been sent to their development team now. I added a reference to this forum post but, It seems that no one updates the forum on issues like this unless you threaten to move to a new platform.
