Migrate Users to ASP.Net Membership Provider?

I am working on an external customer portal (for managing billing, payments, and other non-help desk related items) that I plan on exposing the provider through a web service so SmarterTrack uses the same login, cookies, etc.  My question is - can I migrate my current SmarterTrack users in the SmarterTrack users to my custom database without having to reset the passwords for every user?

Or, even better, is there a way I can expose the login process of SmarterTrack to MY application so my application authenticates against SmaterTrack instead?

Just to update this thread - I have Single Sign On working between my web app and the SmarterTrack applpication.

My only question now is - does the membership and user tables for SmarterTrack follow the ASP.NET Membership Provider model?  If so, is this data able to be migrated to my DB without losing passwords?  If I have to, I can reset all passwords.

SmarterTrack has it own membership provider, and it is not identical to that used by ASP.Net.
