We are migrating our domains from Merak Mail Server to SmarterMail 5.1 enterprise.

There is an "unofficial" migration tool provided by SmarterMail to assist in the process.  This tool has been very helpful, but if anyone familiar with it can answer this question: 

Is there a way to migrate current whitelists and blacklists from our Merak server to SM? 

Please keep in mind that the lists are currently maintained at the user level - not the server level

As far as I know there is not a way to do this as SM does not support Whitelists. You could email each user's file to them with instructions on how to add them to their SM account as Content Filtering.

Also, be careful to check your converted emails before deleting them in Merak. We had a customer lose all of his because the migration tool got confused on a corrupted email.
