    Change Subject of a Ticket

Is there any way to change the subject of a ticket. If a user sends 'error message' or 'need help' as a subject i would like to change it.

Just FYI, the debate on this topic is leaning towards adding a "change" link in the details view of a ticket.

Changing the subject would be helpful.  Changing the email address would be VERY VERY helpful.

I just had a request last week where a user left employment at a company, and they asked me to modify all their ACTIVE and PAST tickets to the new person's email address.   Not possible at all (barring some kind of SQL script) in the current revision of Smartertrack

We have a problem with an employee needing a spell checker implant.  It pains me to see the same mispelled subject go back and forth. eeesh

Bump - Has there been any update on if an update will have a change ticket subject/owner function? TJ

Just as an FYI, I created a work around to the change ticket owner issue... If you have the option to create a search definition (I think this is just the free/enterprise editions) then you can create one to do the update yourself. I have only done a few quick tests of this, so use this at your own risk, but it seems to work just fine... Make sure you tweak it to suit your environment (i.e. database connection string and table prefix).
