Distribute poped catch all to SmarterMail users

My ISP will not let me receive e-mail by SMTP. So what I have done in the past (MS SBS) is have all e-mail to my domain (*@mydomain.com) sent to a pop account (mydomain@isp_pop_account.com). I then have the Server (SmarterMail/SBS) retrieve the mail in the isp’s pop account (mydomain@isp_pop_account.com) and then distribute it to the appropriate user (fred@mydomain.com, barny@mydomain.com, etc)

Can I do this with SmarterMail?

Smarter Mail will do POP3 Retrieval on a per user basis.

So if each person has a different POP3 account, then Smarter Mail should do what you need.

So there is no way to do a catch all with a POP3 account ?

Maybe I am misunderstanding something. With a POP3 it would recognized the email account. If there is more than 1 email address pointing to that 1 POP3 account, I do not believe Smarter Mail would be able to distribute them to different email accounts within Smarter Mail.

As far as I know the POP3 is a one account to one account type of retrieval service. Which should not involve a catchall, unless you have a POP3 that is a catchall and then it would be able to retrieve that 1 account into 1 Smarter Mail account.

If there is anyone else that knows of a different way to accomplish POP3 retrieval please chime in.

    Thanks,
    Jerry
