    Confused [*-)] Pop 3 retrieval

    Hi

I'm trying to set up Smartermail to retrieve mail from my ISP Pop3 mailbox. However the problem I have is that we have several Aliases on the mailbox. I am currently using ShareMailPro to do this and then separate the mail into individual mailboxes.

Basically a single Pop3 email box at my ISP that I download and then distribute the mail into mailboxes.

The pop3 mail retrieval in Smartermail appears to be user based and would require me to have individual Pop3 mail boxes at my ISP ?

Or am I missing something ? Has anyone got an example of how to achieve this in Smartermail ?

I really would like to use Smartermail and I am very impressed with the look and feel of it, but would like to retain my current email addresses. It is not my domain so not an option to change it to SMTP. We just like our current email addresses and do not fancy the headache of changing.

    So any help apprecaited.

It can be done via content filter (if content filters runs on pop3 retreival)

Is it possible to have your ISP forward the incoming emails to your server?

Hi Azfar, thanks for the pointer, have got it working. Moved away from the Pop3 route and taken slalomdrew's advice as well. Set my ISP mail to forward to a new domain I have set up.

    Working a treat !

     ThanksBig Smile

PS I did use the content filter to redirect the eMail to the correct mail boxes.

     Fantastic mail software !

Hi slalomdrew, yes forwarding all mail to a single mailbox in a new domain I have and then content filter to send the mail to the correct mailbox.

Thanks for the pointers guys !
