I have smartermail. I use it at work with Outlook 2003, and I think its setup as POP3, because I dont see where to change that setting.
Anyhow, it works well with my blackberry, and when outlook is closed, all emails that are directed to my smartermail account address do eventually endup on my blackberry, but sometimes with a delay of 10 minutes. (messages sent directly to my blackberry account address arrive instantly.) I need these messages to go through my smartermail account because then i can delete them directly from my blackberry, and not have to read them again when i get to work and open my Outlook 2003. Is there a way to get smartermail to move the messages quicker to the blackberry? does this involve IMAP? if so, how is this setting enabled using SmarterMail Enterprise Edition 3.3.2621?
by the way, i tried the blackberry with gmail and it is very fast. however, i need to be able to delete messages in my smartermail account using my blackberry, and thus i need the blackberry linked to the smartermail account.
any helpful suggestions are much appreciated,
