    spoofing question

i have a client whose email i host with smartermail (latest version).. lets call it domainx.com.  recently she has said that she keeps gettign messages like the following.  it looks liek someone is sendign mail from user accounts that dont exist on her domain. the only account that exists in her domain is info@domain.com which is actually just a user alias which forwards her mail to her personal mail account.

so my question is - how are the spammers doign this and how can i prevent it?

    Re: spoofing question

This is actually very easy to do, and spammers are nearly always sending from spoofed addresses and domains.  To help stop this, you should setup SPF records for her domauin and make sure SPF filters are in place on your server...and that skip spam check on local domains is NOT checked.  DomainKeys could also help with this as well.
