    Export All Users to CSV

We created a tool to extract all email users from SmarterMail.  It creates a CSV file, containing a list of all email addresses.  It gets the email addresses from the structure of the SmarterMail file system.

All you need to do is enter the path to the Domains Directory (i.e. C:\SmarterMail\Domains\ ), and it crawls through the folders to create the CSV file.

Try it.  We're giving it away for free, but offering no support.

The file is only 9KB, and is very quick.  It require the Microsoft .Net Framework v 1.1.

Re: Export All Users to CSV

I have never tried it on Vista.  I see it found the directory.  I assume your computer has the  .Net Framework v 1.1 on it.

It works for me on my desktop, through a mapped drive, with Windows 2000, and .Net v1.1.

It works on my Windows 2003 server as well.

I would try something other than Vista.  It creates a textfile.  Maybe Vista is blocking it from creating the text file?

Now you can see the actual error which only appears for less then a second.

I dont know why its looking for \SmarterMail\Archive\Users\.

Try to download the EXE again and run it.  I put in a little error handling to check if the directory exists beofre accessing it.

    http://www.appscorp.net/smartertools/SmarterMail_ExportAllUsersToCSV_v1.exe

It doesn't make any sense, because it pulls a list of directories within the domains directory, so all of them should always exist.

Re: Export All Users to CSV

Now I see the error.  You are putting in the wrong path.  The path you enter should be H:\SmarterMail\Domains\

It needs to be the Domains directory.

I have all domains under H:\SmarterMail and my H:\SmarterMail\Domains is empty.

Re: Export All Users to CSV

Is that a standard installation?  What version are you using?  Why are the domains not in the Domains directory?
