I have a request from my client regarding an idea he has for managing his employees:
He often has to contact his employees via email. They are field employees and work on a contract basis. He has about 150 employees like this. He sends them information in emails on jobs that he needs them to do.
The problem he has is that he needs to verify that they've picked up their mail.
What we'd like to do is set up his 150 employees on SmarterMail via the discountAsp.net host so that he can monitor the mail that hasn't been read by his employees. Ideally, he'd like a list of the mail he's sent preferrably in a report showing who has retrieved his email and who hasn't.
Perhaps the obvious method is a Receipt/Read acknowledgement but I'd prefer to have an app or WebService provide that data.
Is that possible via SmarterMail? If it's not available via an existing feature, is there an API that I can program to via C# in the .NET framework?
