How do I stop anyone from sending email.

    OK,

I know my subject is not right.  I could not think of a better subject.

What I am having a problem with is I can telnet my SM Box and put in any send from address and send it to whoever.  From what I can tell this will keep putting me on a BLACKLIST.

I have tried to turn on require authenticate before sending but I can still do the above things.

     What can I do?

    Sad

Make sure you have Allow Relay set to nobody under Settings/General Settings/Security

When you are telnetting in, are sending TO an address you host or an address hosted elsewhere?

    glowthian:
I have Allow Relay set to "Nobody" (but it is still sending).

I am trying to a known address but from BillGates@Microsoft.com

    Here s what I typed.

    me> telnet mail.myDomain.com 25
    SM>220 compuetrName.myDomain.com
    me>helo computername
SM>250 computerName Hello [sm's ip address]
    me>mail from: billgates@microsoft.com
    SM>250 OK <billgates@microsoft.com> Sender ok
me>rcpt to: me@myDomain.com   (I can only send an email to myself)
    SM>250 OK <me@myDomain.com> Recipient ok
    me>data
SM>354 Start mail input; end with <CRLF>.<CRLF>
    me>Type some message here
    me>.   (I type <CRLF>.<CRLF>)
    SM>250 OK
    me>quit
    SM>221 Service closing transmission channel.

One weird thing I am seeing.  On the line "SM>250 computerName Hello [sm's ip address]"
it is returning the ip address of my website and not my SM address.

    Any other Ideas?

A mail server will always accept mail for anyone hosted on the server, regardless of who is sending.  This is not a Relay, and instead a local delivery.
