I have attempted to install SmarterMail 4.0 on my Win2003 Advanced server. It is an evaluation version of the server (180 days) and I plan to move my current websites and other services (SimpleDNS) to a full version of the license later.
I installed via the Add/Remove programs app of the Control Panel as the instructions describe.
I get to the point where SmarterMail is installed and it goes to the page to change the Admin username/password. I do that and then click next and get to the page for entering DNS information. I have tried to leave it blank and I have tried to enter IPs of DNS servers but the result is the same: when I click the next button I get an error.
I can't proceed from here.

I gave up on the SM Webserver and moved to IIS. Then I got .Net errors. I then saw that IIS uses the older version of .net unless you specifically choose v2. After pointing to the right version. Things appear to be working.
