Hi,

  I have 4 SAVASM servers running, and I have noticed the drives filling up, here is the reason why :

(1) Auto White list too large?

(3) the temp directory gets quite large, does not seem to delete the files 

/var/spool/clientmqueue/

clientmqueue directory huge! Several Gigs and 1,000 of qf* & df* files!

 I can write script and adjust things to keep these clean, but I wanted to let you know, so the next version you can consider putting things in place to clean stuff up.

Well, if you o(r anyone else) feel like contributing to SAVASM, then I am sure others would appreciate it. This is (more or less) open source, so any contributions are welcome.

 I have a doubt, its possible to install  SAVASM VMW image in a empty computer not as a virtual server, using entire machine with this image?

No. SAVASM is a virtual machine image, so it needs a (VMWare) host (which, in turn, needs an OS). 

 Does anybody knows if there is a linux image with spamassassin builtin to burn on a cd, and compatible with smartermail ?

Can I use the image in ESX server. We are planing to setup latest 3.5 based infrastructure.

And I am confused about SMSpamC, is it better then SAVASM.

SMSpamC and SAVASM are two different things: SMSpamC is the client, SAVASM is the server.

Client and server are not interchangeable; you need to use both. SAVASM is the server, but you'll need something to connect to it: either the built-in SpamAssassin client in SmarterMail, or SMSpamC which is an alternative client.

So all I need to to do in SM is adding a remote apamassassin server in spamassassin settings and a remote clamav server in antivirus administration?

And Do I still need of delivery delay while using SAVASM.

Yes.

No; ClamAV will run as part of SpamAssassin in SAVASM. See further back in this topic.

So I only need to add a remote spamassassin server and it will also scan for viruses.

Now I only have command line timeout for dkim/domainkeys addons. Should I set the delivery delay 0 or minmum like less then 5.

Delivery delay has no effect on SpamAssassin (or other types of command line) processing; it will only delay your mail before it is processed. So you can set it to 0.

I read some previous posts and found that we have an option to use SA clamav plugin or directly use SM clamav client.

Is there any change in bahaviour of both. I found when using SA plugin it only mark the meesage as virus, isn't it reomve the virus or delete message. Whats the action of both ways when a virus found.

I also found there is a major SA update 3.2.3 how do I update it manualy.
