SmarterMail includes Web-based administration that allows administrators to manage all aspects of the mail server from
one convenient interface—at the system, domain, and user level. Unique features such as throttling, dynamic spool
prioritization, archiving, and mass propagation capabilities are included to reduce the costs and hassle of mail server
management. Industry-leading Web services (SOAP/API) allow for the automation of administrative functions and integration
with a wide variety of control panels and other applications.
SmarterMail has the ability for system-wide email archiving which can be configured independently for each domain and will
include all inbound and outbound email. At the end of each day SmarterMail will take that folder and compress it for archival
storage. This is an important feature for companies which need to keep records of inbound and outbound communication for
compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements.
Throttling allows the number of messages, amount of bandwidth, and/or the number of bounced messages to be limited for domains,
users, or mailing lists over a given amount of time. Throttling is a vital tool to prevent the abuse of your mail server.
Used in conjunction with the Events system, actions can be automated to prevent abuse in real-time. Additional information is

Email delivery can be more effectively managed by setting priorities based upon email types. Mailing lists and other process-intensive
email can be assigned a lower priority—allowing regular email to avoid unnecessary delays. Emailed notifications can be given higher
priority to make sure that important information is delivered in a timely fashion.
