Are product purchases refundable?
Products created by SmarterTools or purchased through the SmarterTools website are refundable during the first 15 days provided that the license keys have not been activated and used. To request a refund, contact SmarterTools sales via Live Chat or email sales@smartertools.com.

Purchases made through authorized resellers are subject to the refund policy offered by the reseller.

Can I try your products before I buy them?
Customers wishing to evaluate the products prior to purchase should use the free editions available for download from the SmarterTools website. If you need a larger-sized version of the product for a 30-day trial run, contact the SmarterTools sales department via Live Chat or email sales@smartertools.com.

Are hosted services refundable?
Because SmarterTools Hosted Services utilize a pay-as-you-go pricing plan, the refund and exchange policy does not apply. In addition, SmarterTools offers free trials to give customers the opportunity to try the service at no cost before purchasing. If for some reason you are not satisfied with SmarterTools Hosted Services, you can contact the SmarterTools sales department via Live Chat, email sales@smartertools.com for assistance, or simply cancel your account at any time as outlined in the SmarterTools Hosted Services Master Subscription Agreement.

How fast are refunds processed?
The refund itself should be processed within one business day. However, it may take up to seven business days for the credit to appear on your credit card.

What happens to my license key if I request a refund?
The license key associated to the purchase will be disabled and any installation running the license key will revert back to the free edition when the refund is processed.
