Phoenix, AZ -- February 8, 2005 --
SmarterTools Inc., a leading developer of email, log analytics and help desk applications,
is pleased to announce a partnership with Computerized Horizons, developers of Declude,
one of the premier antispam and antivirus tools available to the general public.
The partnership gives customers who purchase the products of either company the
potential to create a mail solution that combines cutting edge spam and virus detection
with an enterprise-level feature set that is focused on reliability and security.
“Integrating with Declude was a natural progression for SmarterTools. Not only have
the folks at Computerized Horizons been extremely professional, the integration
of our products provides the customers of both companies with a greatly enhanced
product offering,” says Bryon Grosz, Lead Developer of SmarterMail. “Adding Declude
reinforces and solidifies the antispam measures SmarterMail already had in place,
like Bayesian filtering, the use of the Sender Policy Framework as the basis for
anti-spam rules, and checking mail against a variety of Spam Lists,” he continued.
In addition to antispam measures, SmarterMail offers robust content filtering,
an easy-to-use web interface, support for multiple languages, full HTML composition,
and much more.
SmarterMail was chosen as a partner by the principals at Computerized Horizons for
a variety of reasons. One of the most important was that since SmarterMail couples
high quality with a low price, accounting for their extensive installation base
of over 10 million users, Declude is now able to increase their reach to a larger
audience than was available with previous partnerships. In addition, with SmarterMail
Declude customers can implement a number of different configurations, including
the use of SmarterMail as an Incoming Gateway server, a Standard Mail Server, a
Backup MX Server, an Outgoing Gateway server, and more. Many of these configurations
can be used in conjunction with other mail servers on the market to help these mail
servers reduce load or increase stability, or to replace them entirely. Finally,
SmarterMail has one of the most advanced migration utilities for Ipswitch’s Imail,
formerly Declude’s primary partner. With this new partnership, Declude users now
have options and are able to make the switch quickly and easily if desired.
The recently announced partnership between Computerized Horizons and SmarterTools
is truly beneficial to both companies. Though not required, the purchase and integration
of both SmarterMail and Declude offers customers an extremely robust and reliable
mail server solution, full-featured antispam and antivirus measures, virtually
hassle-free integration and no large up front costs for implementation. Having such
an ideal solution means that the partnership of both companies will continue for
a long time to come.
