Chief Executive Officer
Tim is a recognized technologist and business leader who has hosted and presented
at major industry events. He previously founded and served as the
of CrystalTech Web Hosting Inc., cultivating it into one of the largest Windows
hosting companies at the time. Originally founded in 1997, CrystalTech
Web Hosting Inc. was acquired by Newtek Business Services (NASDAQ: NEWT) in July
2004, giving Uzzanti a well-rounded background of executive management within both
private and public companies. Uzzanti also spent several years as a technical specialist
at Honeywell International Inc. In addition to his achievements in the IT industry,
Uzzanti has delivered significant results in commercial development and other endeavors.
Grady manages the teams responsible for the maintenance and development of SmarterTrack, SmarterTools’ web-based help desk and customer service software, and SmarterStats, SmarterTools’ business and Web analytics software. He also manages the team responsible for all of SmarterTools’ back-end systems and facilitates introduction of new technologies into all SmarterTools products. His duties include product planning and working closely with the CEO on the future development of both internal products as well as new product development. Before SmarterTools, Grady was a senior developer at Mythos Software, an educational and entertainment software company.
Vice President of Business Development
Derek works closely with the CEO on current business and partnership development for existing SmarterTools products as well as working on new product planning and development. This includes business planning and forecasting, sales cycle and marketing planning, relationship building and more. Before coming
to SmarterTools, Derek held VP-level technical and business-related positions at CrystalTech Web Hosting and transitioned to
Newtek Business Services after their acquisition of CrystalTech.
Bryon manages the team responsible for the maintenance and development of SmarterMail,
SmarterTools’ Microsoft Exchange replacement mail and collaboration software. His
duties include project-planning, product planning, and working closely with the
CEO on the future development of SmarterMail. In addition, he is responsible for
understanding the development industry as a whole as well as staying up-to-date
on customer needs. Before SmarterTools, Bryon was a senior developer at Mythos Software,
an educational and entertainment software company.
Michael oversees the team responsible for new product and service development at SmarterTools. His duties include project-planning, product planning and working closely with the CEO on the development of all future products and services. In addition, he is responsible for understanding the development industry as a whole as well as staying up-to-date on customer needs. SmarterTools hired Michael straight out of college and his development skills and his project management acumen have earned him his position within the company.
Michael oversees the teams responsible for the maintenance and development of SmarterTrack, SmarterStats and SmarterTools’ back-end systems. His duties include working with the Development Manager on project-planning, product planning, and working closely with the CEO on the future development of both SmarterTrack and SmarterStats. In addition, he is responsible for understanding the development industry as a whole as well as staying up-to-date on customer needs. Before SmarterTools, Michael worked for Chase Bank and he was promoted to several positions within SmarterTools before moving into product development.
Customer Relations and Office Manager
Sally is responsible for managing SmarterTools’ accounting, human resources, office and customer relations teams. The duties of her departments include scheduling any office maintenance,
notifying delinquent accounts, processing payments, participating in job fairs,
processing new hire paperwork, accounts payable, weekly reconciliations, customer support, partner relations and much
more. Her duties include sales planning and forecasting, defining and reporting on service metrics and working closely with the CEO to ensure customers receive the highest level of customer service and support possible. Prior to coming to SmarterTools, and moving to Arizona, Sally worked at Oakwood
Hospital and Medical Center in Michigan.
Customer Relations Supervisor
Brian supervises and mentors the customer support, customer service and partner relations teams
at SmarterTools. His teams are responsible for the efficient resolution of any issues
surrounding all SmarterTools products, including all services associated with SmarterTools’
products, as well as ensuring SmarterTools’ distribution partnerships and partner
programs are running at the highest levels. His duties include technical sales, support escalation and working closely with the Customer Relations and Office Manager to ensure customers receive the highest level of customer service and support possible. Before SmarterTools, Brian
worked for a payment processing company as their supervisor of installation and
Marketing and Technical Communications Specialist
Andrea is responsible for creating and maintaining all internal and external communications and media for SmarterTools. Her duties include creating and managing website content, social media outreach and working closely with the CEO to ensure that the SmarterTools message and philosopy are delivered through all communication channels. Before SmarterTools, Andrea worked at The Ad Department Inc. and she was promoted to several positions within SmarterTools prior to transitioning into Communications.
