SmarterTools Inc., a leading developer of email, log analytics and help desk applications,
is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has named Tim Uzzanti to serve
as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Uzzanti brings over a decade of experience
growing innovative technology based companies as well as a solid track record for
bringing financial profitability to the organizations under his control and oversight.
A recognized technologist and business leader, Mr. Uzzanti was most recently Chief
Executive Officer of CrystalTech Web Hosting Inc., one of the largest Microsoft
Windows Hosting companies in the industry. CrystalTech Web Hosting Inc. is responsible
for over 80,000 web sites in 110 countries and is known for being one of the premier
providers of Windows-based web hosting. Originally founded in 1997, CrystalTech
Web Hosting Inc. was acquired by Newtek Business Services (NASDAQ: NKBS)
in July of 2005, giving Uzzanti a well-rounded background of Executive Management
within both private and public companies.
